To promote bilateral relations and communication of ideas and strategies to increase AIESEC’s impact on youth development between delegates comprised of youth from 5 cities and universities in New Zealand.
To enhance inter-cultural awareness and cross-cultural understanding between delegates comprised of youths from a diverse cultural and education background.
To allow delegates and stakeholders to understand the role AIESEC plays within New Zealand.
To improve AIESEC's relation with business community, academic and the wider student population through their increased knowledge of and involvement with this conference, specified AIESEC events and the AIESEC program in general.
To interact and share ideas, culture and friendship with individuals from 5 regions and universities in New Zealand.
Each year, AIESEC New Zealand organizes and delivers 3 national conferences, and 2 regional conferences. The national conferences are held in April, July, and November.
On 20th - 24th November 2008, AIESEC in Canterbury will be organizing Spring Conference in Christchurch. Over 120 students from 5 regions and universities across New Zealand will attend this intense 5-days learning experience to be held in Blue Skies Conference and Training Centre, Christchurch.
The conferences are organized to maximize the learning and skills development of our members allowing them to acquire valuable personal and professional skills. Conferences provide a forum for our members to engage with each other and leaders in the corporate community, government and civil society around specific issues such as sustainability, HIV/AIDS and the New Zealand Skill Shortage.
They increase their awareness, deepen their learning, and allow them to gain further knowledge about the issues that are affecting New Zealand and the world. Hence, delegates emerge equipped to make a real, positive change in the society.
